Winter Belly Bulge
Winter is taking its toll on everyone, and summer seems to be an eon away. But before you know it, bikini season will be here and the belly bulge from winter will have no place to hide. To combat the hibernation weight gain, here are some healthy, good-tasting foods that will help you fight that belly bulge consistently.
(1) Grains and Fiber.
Start the day off with heavy grains that have fiber. Kellogg’s All-Bran Buds with a side of greek yogurt like Chobani.
(2) Salt May be Good, But Potassium is Your Friend
Skip adding salt at the table. Salt increases water retention and bloating. Choose foods such as bananas and potatoes to help your body get rid of excess water weight which will start to shrink your mid-section.
(3) Cook Your Veggies, Don’t Eat them Raw
Fresh vegetables are great but they are also high-volume and will make your stomach stick out. To prevent this unwelcome side effect, cook them by blanching them or boiling them.
(4) Sunflowers and Vitamin B
Sunflower seeds are great because they are packed with B Vitamins and are an excellent source of Vitamin E. They are good afternoon snacks and help curb hunger.
(5) Almonds and Nuts
Nuts are generally high in energy and great for you body. A handful of almonds in your yogurt, or Omega 3 filled walnuts over some cottage cheese are great for your body. They are also a good pre-dinner party snack to prevent you from over eating at parties.
